Before you go shopping make a shopping list that includes food from all of the following categories (unless you are vegetarian, in which case you would have not want to buy meat).

Sample Grocery List

•    Fresh Vegies

•    Fresh Fruit

•    Grains and cereals (eg. Whole Grain Bread, Pasta, Oats)

•    Canned goods (eg. Beans, Tomatoes, Tuna, Salmon)

•    Fresh meat (eg. Fish, Beef, Turkey, Lamb)

•    Dairy and eggs (eg. Milk, Cheese, Butter, Yogurt)

•    Other items (eg. Olive Oil, Spices, Nuts, Honey)
