When you’re applying for a job, you will need to describe how well your skills and experience fit the job description.
Even if you have no paid work experience think about the many ways you have developed your skills through your life so far, such as:
1. Good communication;
2. Teamwork;
3. Working with others; and
4. Computer and IT skills.
You may have developed these skills at school, in some kind of team or in creating a Myspace page or a blog.
Direct Approach
Telephone, write, or call in person to organisations you would like to work for and ask if there are any suitable vacancies. Remember to be clear about what you are going to say before you arrive or call.
